   Summary

   He was The One Who Waits, and he had taken much from the Lamb. Their Life, their people, their freedom, their power, their love.

   This was his plan from the beginning. Take everything from them, give them small favors, gifts, pretend to make them think they were anything but another insignificant face in his Cult. They were naught but a follower, were they not?

   But the Lamb was not like any other follower. Each favor, each liberty, each allowance he granted them had built upon each other, link after link, into another chain. He was meant to take, and take, and take, but so too did they.

   And so, what had they taken from Narinder?
