Summary
A utopia for zoanthropess? Surely an impossible dream when so many are driven into hiding simply for the audacity of existing and yet somehow a kingdom came to be anyway. These things come at a cost though, littered with secrets hidden away from the common eye to keep things simple and pleasing on the surface. Even their fabled prince seems to be just as in the dark of the reality...
Despite he's possibly the biggest secret of them all.

Sublimity by Gray_Days

Summary
Great power, Burke suggests in The Sublime and the Beautiful, should never aspire to be — and can never actually be — beautiful. What great power needs is sublimity. The sublime is the sensation we experience in the face of extreme pain, danger, or terror. It is something like awe but tinged with fear and dread. Burke calls it “delightful horror.” Great power should aspire to sublimity because sublimity produces the strongest emotion which the human mind is capable of feeling. It is an arresting yet invigorating emotion, which has the simultaneous but contradictory effect of diminishing and magnifying us. We feel annihilated by great power; at the same time, our sense of self swells when we are conversant with terrible objects.
— Corey Robin, The Reactionary Mind
It’s a very Greek idea, and a very profound one. Beauty is terror. Whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it. And what could be more terrifying and beautiful, to souls like the Greeks or our own, to lose control completely? To throw off the chains of being for an instant, to shatter the accident of our mortal selves?
— Donna Tartt, The Secret History

Summary
Everything happens, somewhere in the multiverse. Every choice is reflected and refracted across infinity until the resulting images are unrecognisable — or all too recognisable, when they're wrong in every respect.
An orphaned boy sculpts himself into a murderer. The most powerful being in the galaxy craves nothing but what little power still eludes him. A woman with the blessings of the gods uses them to devastate the world.
And there are certain people — still, always — who say no. No more. This is where it ends.
If not me, then who?

Summary
They say you can tell a person by the company they keep and all Barry could say about Superman was that he was far from the goodie-two-shoes everyone made him out to be initially. If you were to go by said company:
- The colleagues at the Daily Planet and especially Lois and Jimmy
- Clark's parents who always send sweets
- Clark's close friend, Thomas, who sports a permanent stubble, disheveled hair and dark circles under the eyes
- The mysterious 'B' who Superman sometimes calls to call in a favor when something requires a more tricky investigation
- Nightwing, who is part of the league but acts incredibly familiar to Supes
- An assortment of friends that he keeps mentioning
- A (possible) crime lord whose file keeps getting deleted from the Watchtower databases
- An array of vigilantes that absolutely refuse to join the league and have an unhealthy obsession for bats
- THE BATMAN!? THE BATMAN IS REAL and does Superman know BATMAN!?
- Lex Luthor, a homicidal billionaire
- Bruce Wayne, not a homicidal billionaire, just annoying
- Superman's kids?!?Or glimpses into the life of Superman over time, as seen through the eyes of one Barry Allen.
