Summary
After initially getting told he wasn't allowed to take in his sensei’s son and being reassured baby Naruto would be taken care of, Kakashi throws himself into ANBU, only to return from a mission 2 years later and discover Naruto getting beaten up by a crowd of drunk civilians, and a few shinobi to boot. Desperate to save his little brother, Kakashi takes Naruto, packs up the barest of basics and whatever else he can quickly shove into a bag, and books it out of the village, fully prepared to become a missing nin to protect Naruto. Only, a teleportation jutsu goes wrong, and Kakashi and young Naruto are thrown across galaxies onto Kordia IV, where the young copy nin witnesses an armored warrior disposing of what appeared to be two allies of theirs before moving onto a third. Kakashi, young enough to still react to his anger, especially after what he just went through, snaps. After all, like Obito said; those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their teammates are worse than trash.

One of the best crossover fics in existence. The whole fic from start to finish is absolutely incredible and filled with so many amazing moments, character interactions, and conversations. The back and forth cuts between NASA, the press, Cass, Mark’s parents, the Big Hero 6 gang, and of course Mark, Hiro, and the crew of the Hermes are perfectly sandwiched together to create an intriguing narrative that was almost impossible to put down. 11/10, will reread again.
