Summary
Damian has no friends.
It wouldn't be such a big deal if it's simply because he is unapproachable, but that isn't the case. In fact, he's always being approached at school, just not for the intention of becoming friends, unless, of course, insulting someone is secret slang in Gotham for "Let's hang out together."
It all started with a crunch, the color red, and a boy who thought it would be a good idea to fight a peer at school who had been irritating him and some others for a while, because apparently his ‘kind’ didn’t belong here. Damian fought for justice, how wasn't this exactly what father would've wanted?
or: Damian believes nobody approaches him because he's too dangerous and thinks it's the reason why his brothers don't really interact with him

Summary
Tim and Damian are injured in an accidental explosion that destroys Gotham High and Gotham Academy. Damian's injuries are more severe than Tim's, leaving his life hanging by a thread, and the Batfamily struggles to come to terms with his injuries. Summary
For the first time in a long time, Damian is truly alone.
Since arriving at his father's house, he had never experienced loneliness again. Although it had been difficult at first, he met people he learned to call family.
It wasn't an easy process; it took years, but at some point, they got there.
He learned to love and be loved; he was finally happy.
So when he lost everything he had achieved, it hurt even more.
It was a gradual process, but little by little, everyone started to move on with their lives.
And Damian was left behind.
Or: Damian is lonely, his family realizes something is wrong and won't stop until they find out what it is.

His face is pale. Lips curled up in a grotesque smile. Torn up the cheeks, oozing blood that drips onto the cement floor. One hand rips at his dark hair, greasy and limp over manic eyes. The other hangs at his side, limply clinging to a gun. “Ha ha ha-” Half frantic laughter, half distraught sobs that rattle through his chest.
Between them, the Joker’s body. Blood blossoming around his head. Brain matter spattered on the floor. Smiling. Eyes vacantly staring up at the ceiling.
“Hahahahaha-”
Bruce approaches slowly. Like he’s approaching a skittish animal. “Tim,” he says softly, and the boy blinks at him, still laughing, still sobbing. There are tears in his eyes. “Tim, put down the gun.”
