No one was shocked that Wednesday was the one to unlock and become the master of Tyler's Hyde. Since then, the two spent their summers and winter breaks together, while he spent his school year at nevermore and Wednesday spent hers at whatever public school she wasn't expelled from yet. So color him shocked when his master walked into his school without warning.
AKA, what if Wednesday and Tyler grew up as childhood friends and stayed friends before the events of Wednesday took place?
