Bruce narrows his eyes behind the cowl, “What have you done?”
Tim’s shoulders creep up towards his ears defensively, but he looks Bruce dead in the eye when he says, simply—“Hacked it.”
“You—“ Bruce splutters, shocked into speechlessness.
“I’m Robin,” Tim says, like that’s an explanation. He points at Bruce, “And you’re compromised. You can’t help Gotham if you're dead.”

The first anniversary of Jason’s death looms. As Gotham fractures under multiple threats, Bruce is forced to confront his grief before he puts more than himself at risk.

Jason swallows down the nausea and hopes Bruce doesn’t notice his hands shaking. “I don’t understand you,” he rasps, barely caring when his voice betrays him and cracks. “The horrible things these people have done—the lives they’ve ruined. How can you possibly be satisfied with just stopping them? They’ll either get released from prison or escape somehow to continue where they left off. I just…” Jason takes a shuddering breath.
I just can’t ever be that helpless again, I can never leave anyone to a fate like that ever again.
I won’t. I won’t.

Summary
He hesitated, hesitated but nonetheless replied, “I got blasted by cuddle pollen. It’s why I tripped. It’s why I got caught.”
The line went dead silent.
Tim clenched his fists as the pale figure uncovered his face. “I’m sorry.”
The line split off into a cacophony of sounds. But Tim couldn’t hear any of it, because the stone and crumbles of cement and wood slipped off the purple suit and the pale man sat up, a hand going to his sickeningly green hair.
He was trapped. Trapped within a building’s remains with a conscious Joker, dipped head-to-toe in cuddle pollen which was already starting to become close to unbearable without human touch.
OR
A cuddle-pollened Tim gets stuck in a collapsed building with the Joker.

Summary
Tim’s spleen wasn't the only thing he had lost in the desert that night.
The Widower left him with an injury that had forever altered his life, but Tim had adjusted. He was fine, great even. His only worry was how his family would react when he eventually found Bruce and went back to Gotham.
But to his surprise (and relief), they never even mentioned it. They carried on as if everything was normal, and that's what Tim had wanted. At least, he thought it was.
Until an incident in the field reveals a secret Tim didn't even know was a secret, and now he is forced to deal with all the emotional blowback he thought he had avoided.
Or,
Tim loses a leg in the desert. He really thought his family had noticed.

Picture this: You're Clark Kent, finishing a story while in Gotham. You hear Batman's young sidekick patrolling alone and decide to go introduce yourself to him, forgetting you're in civilian clothes. Batman's young sidekick bolts, and you chase after him to explain that everything is fine & you're just concerned for his safety.
OR: the one where, due to some misunderstandings, Dick runs for his life, Alfred is a BAMF operator, Robin publicly punches Superman, and Bruce rains the fury of a righteous & protective Batdad down onto Clark Kent's head.
