It’s cold on the mountains as always. Which is why his mother always bundles all of her children and his siblings up, layer after layer, and yet sometimes that doesn’t even get rid of the nipping cold that sneaks through small gaps in their clothing.
Which is why he can’t believe there’s another.. Person? On the mountains practically wearing the skin and fur of a bear. Literally, it’s like they just stepped inside of the bear and started walking around.
(Tanjirou wonders if that’s how they did it. Did they gut a bear open and start walking around in its body? Are they planning on shedding the bear skin and using the deer?)
(And well, if you think about it, isn’t bear fur, skin- whatever more warmer than a deer? Unless they’re planning on gutting it and carrying their spoils back to eat and use the fat of its body to burn for heat.)
