Summary
Sarah grabbed Pete’s other hand, and gave it a tight squeeze. “Three nights ago, UCLA Medical Center called Ron…”
How was that a good thing? Getting a call from the hospital at any time of day had never bode well for Pete.
"They said that someone was in the ER who had him listed as an emergency contact.”
“Okay?” He asked, still not following.
“Pete,” Tom said and he turned his attention back towards his partner. “It was Bradley.”
---
It's been four years since any of them had seen or heard from Bradley when Slider gets a call in the middle of the night with the news that he's back and more.

Summary
There are many things in life that Bradley didn't expect. He never expected to be reunited with his godfather after cutting ties with him. He never expected to befriend the very people he fought against in TOP GUN. He didn't expect to participate in a suicide mission (he didn't expect to survive it, either). But the papers before him were something he never EVER considered happening to him. There was a 12-year-old kid out there, one who may not share Bradley's last name, but they share the same blood.
He had a kid.
Oh, God, he had a kid.

Summary
"I'm not a ghost. I promise." Rooster patted his knee, but Hangman brushed him off, burrowing deeper into the couch. He didn't look like the cocky pilot Rooster had known. He looked…afraid, an emotion Rooster had seen only once. After the mission, when they'd successfully landed. Hangman had been standing on deck, drenched in sweat, helmet hanging limply in one hand, face drawn.
You saved my life, he thought. Do you know that you saved my life?
Probably not.
