Summary
Eddie hits his shoulder harder this time. "That's it!"
"What is?" Buck repeats his question from before, rubbing his shoulder like the movement hurt him —it didn't, Eddie is sure.
"You'll go with me! Like, you can act like you're my couple".
Buck looks at him, untethered before cracking the loudest laugh of the night.
"What's so funny?" Eddie asks with a half-showing smile as Buck keeps laughing and although he didn't mean to, he's happy to see him joyful again.
"Oh, you're being serious". He stops laughing slowly, shaking his head, showing that he's not really believing anything that his friend says. "What do you want us to do? To pretend we're together like in some teenage romcom?"
OR
Eddie has an empty plus one for a destination wedding. Not wanting to meet his entire family by himself and being setted up, Buck and he make a deal: Buck can pretend to be his boyfriend and he would help him to get his happy ending after.
Eddie doesn't expect how loud his mind gets when he's alone with Buck, in a nice beach, while the lines of their friendship are blurred.Bookmarked by Emotionlesslover

Summary
“Family doesn’t have to be you, and Christopher, and a woman that could maybe be his mother. It can just be you and Christopher. It can be you, and Christopher, and the people around you that love you enough to never stop trying.”
“Like Buck.” Eddie doesn’t mean to voice it, but it feels nice to do it anyway.
“Sure,” Frank nods. There is a smile on his face, one that Eddie doesn’t think he’s seen before. “Like Buck.”

Summary
Everyone has a soulmate, when they touch there’s a spark of recognition so deep it feels like your entire world is rocketed through the stars in a brilliant kaleidoscope of color. At least, Evan squints at the paperback in his hands, that’s what Maddie’s book says.
In which Buck and Eddie are soulmates but still so utterly, devastatingly, stupid about it.

Summary
The player reaches Bobby and ducks his head to tug off his helmet. He flexes his fingers as he comes to a stop, and Buck freezes.
Even before Bobby says it, he knows who it is. He’d know that hand movement anywhere.
“Eddie Diaz, it’s good to see you again.”
“You too, Coach. Glad to have you join us.”
Bobby looks around at the other UT Austin players gathered before them. "Before I get to know you guys, I wanted to introduce you to a new member of the team - Buck, come up here.”
Eddie’s eyes follow Bobby’s gaze across the players, a jovial smile on his face, but when his eyes drift to Buck they widen back with lightning speed and his smile disappears. “Evan?”
Shit.
Or: Buck and Eddie met as teens one summer at 118 Football Training Camp - but they haven't spoken since. Several years later, in their final year of college, Eddie meets UT Austin's newest recruit: Evan Buckley.
