Tonight Wednesday had died, taken an arrow to the shoulder, and sliced open her hand while twisting a blade into the heart of an undead pilgrim, yet her mind was fixating on her allergy. Or more accurately, to her face pressed against a fuzzy pink overcoat, safely enfolded in Enid’s embrace. Disturbing was the mildest way to put it.
She supposed upping her allergy prescription wasn’t particularly onerous. She chalked it up to one of the hazards of having a technicolor roommate and made a mental note to begin a regimen.
It wasn’t hope, she told herself. It was a prophylactic.

“I am always keen on watching bones snapping and blood drenching the soil on dark forests at night”, Enid regarded her with a terrified expression, Wednesday found it endearing. “I’m not going to leave you alone, Enid”, escapes from her lips in an almost too caring way, making the werewolf swallow hard, regarding her gratefully.
“I could hurt you”, she insists knowing she will fail.
“You could always try”, she smirks imperceptibly, making the blonde chuckle.
