“It’ll be okay. We don’t need to go to Vulcan.”
Viktor raises both of his eyebrows at Jayce’s statement, and then snarls for the first time Jayce has ever heard, “What?! Do you want me to die?”
“No! Of course not!”
“Then tell me why you think I don’t deserve to go home, to my people, who can help rid me of this - this cursed need! There are no Vulcans on this ship but me, and even then, the walls of my quarters are thin, Jayce, and Pon Farr is physical. I do not want the whole ship knowing exactly what I sound like in bed.”
“I want to,” Jayce blurts, and before Viktor's eyes can bug out of his head at that brazen statement, Jayce kneels down at Viktor’s feet and offers himself up. “You can take it out on me. I’ll help you through Pon Farr. Please.”
“Jayce, what the fuck?!” Viktor curses in Standard. First time he’s done that.

Summary
Years ago. In the lab, back when “the lab” was still a workshop with a city view through a gaping hole in the wall.
The tilt of Viktor's mouth like he was offering a joke as well as a solution to the problem that Jayce shouldn’t have. Viktor’s soft voice, murmuring, “Goodbye, Jayce.”
Jayce huffed a laugh, tension bleeding from his shoulders. Rolled his eyes, turned back to the chalkboard, a smile in place. It meant the opposite of its meaning. It meant Viktor would be back.
Jayce would be waiting. “Goodbye, Viktor.”

The hands—the suggestion of hands and fingers in a play of light and shadow—clenched for a moment before going slack again. In the long silence that followed, Jayce tried to get his bearings. They were in a cave, but the entrance was close enough for the moon and stars to cast their pale light inside. He stood slowly, using the wall Viktor sat against to balance without his leg brace. One shuffling step towards the entrance; another. The air was clear and cold, sapping all warmth from his body.
"We are a tad underdressed for the weather," Viktor said dryly, seeing him shiver.
Jayce laughed. "We're underdressed for everything except one of Count Azika's famous parties."

“What am I going to do?” Jayce sighs, letting Viktor toss the blanket over him.
“About?”
“Being bad at sex,” Jayce grumbles.
“You could always practice,” Viktor suggests off-handedly. “Perhaps if you became well acquainted with the pleasure then you could hold yourself back more when having intercourse.”
Jayce scoffs. “Who would practice having sex with me though? No one would want to do that.”
Viktor swallows thickly.

When Jayce stumbles into the lab one night drunk and frustrated, he confides in Viktor that he struggles with having sex, particularly when it comes to lasting during intercourse. Viktor offers to help his partner anyway he can, and the two come to the conclusion Jayce should practice having sex.
