Summary
Paradise cannot be built by one person alone. If Takuto Maruki is to save the world, then he will need a sword to cut his way there— or a rapier, perhaps, strung along by violet ribbons.
My piece for the Blood of a Villain zine, an anthology of AUs where other Phantom Thieves are the Black Mask! Illustrated by TheFunkyLime.

Summary
Turning around, the man himself appears. He’s little changed from when Goro last saw him: not in his Metaverse outfit, but in the clothes from that winter, a thick grey outer coat with a black sweater sticking out from underneath, blue scarf wrapped tightly his neck, glasses appropriately fogged from the Palace’s weather and his mop of black hair as unkempt as ever.
If it weren’t for the golden eyes, Goro would almost mistake him for the real person.
Thrown into solitary confinement the day after he shot Adam Kadmon, Akira forms a Palace. Fortunately for him, Goro Akechi intervenes.

Summary
But he is going to make this choice even if it stains his heart black with guilt. He may not be able to live with the decisions he makes, but he must, therefore he will.
(Goro is dead, and that knowledge haunts his steps all over the pristine stillness of Maruki’s Palace.)
Akira and Goro fail to break the rest of the Thieves out of Maruki's reality.

Summary
The Reaper’s gun bearing down on Joker, still smoking and blinded from the flames, and the very clear One-Shot Kill aimed directly for his skull.
The Reaper is about to do Shido a favour, but Goro isn't quite ready to let Akira go yet.

Summary
You drown in rushing water, and show up in Teyvat. You are present, the “traveler” is not. You wonder if this means you must take their place, but an average human from Earth can not match up to whatever the traveler is. Not in strength, not in kindness, not in geniality. It takes crawling out of a hole of self-hatred and shaking hands to come to the conclusion that you were never meant to take on the destiny of a hero.
(A mouse can’t ever put a bell on a cat’s collar; Sometimes the most favorable task isn’t achievable, no matter how much you beg to be different.)
The fic is set to take place during the entire first main quest in Mondstadt. It is book one of two, if I believe in myself hard enough.

“But they wouldn’t have gotten there quickly enough,” she burst out. “I did think about all that. When someone you care about is in danger, you want to protect them. It’s not that your own wellbeing doesn’t matter... it’s more like, if you don’t at least try, then whatever happened was your fault. So what happens to you is less important than what might happen to them.”

Summary
What do you mean?” Ryuji tilted his head.
“It’s called Just Die. It reduces the SP needed for Insta kill skills like Mudoon or 'Please Die for Me' to zero.”
Ryuji and Ann blinked and blinked again trying to figure out what Morgana is trying to say. He watched as the gears churn in their head and they come to an epiphany, their faces growing horrified at the implications.
“Wait, you are saying. Joker can insta-kill literally everything in this palace. WITHOUT using SP at all?!” Ryuji clarified in astonishment because there is no way there isn’t a catch to this. “Without repercussion?!”
“Yes. That is exactly what I’m saying.”
Or the NG+ au where Akira knows more than he lets on, the Phantom Thieves start to suspect one of their own, and Akechi is in for a wild ride.

"I... I can't do this," you admitted, [..] "I can't keep up. Everyone else is so much better than me, and I just don't see why I should even bother anymore. No matter how hard I try, no matter how much I practice, I just end up disappointing everyone."
