It’s a cold morning; the sun’s hardly peeking past the white of the sky. Everything looks like shit. Washed out. Some crappy Insta-filter slapped over the air. Tom shoves his hands in his pockets in a futile attempt to keep his fingers from going numb. “Tell me what, Greg,” he says, no question mark, no patience. “Tell me fucking what.”
“It… sort of seems like you might know already?” says Greg.
Tom smiles, pleasantly. “No idea. Tell me what?”

Louis runs his thumb along the cap of the half-empty cologne bottle. “I was stopped.”
“Stopped by what?”
“I don't know,” he mutters. The bottle of cologne he's never used is half-empty. He turns around to look at Rashid, and smiles: “The hand of God, I guess. If God is a fan of investigative journalism.”
Louis takes an extra precaution to keep Armand's presence concealed from their houseguest-interrogator—by concealing Rashid's identity from himself. With a little help from Armand, of course.
