    Summary

“I hope you’ll eventually share your secret–” Robin’s mind is blank just looking at Nancy’s upturned gaze through her long lashes, yet she continues talking.
Nancy cocks her head at her, “Secret?”
“To getting everyone to fall in love with you.”

Or: Robin Buckley cannot stop talking whenever Nancy Wheeler is around.

    My comment:

"THIS IS MY NEW CANON 😍 Spirits, it would have been so simple to make these scenes fit into the actual plot of s04. Like, for real, you wrote it seamlessly, why was that so hard to do for the actual writers of the show?

    SPOILERS PART

But yeah, one part I truly love is how they're able to communicate about liking (loving ❤️) each other without even saying a thing. Nancy's "I don't believe you" is such a great illustration of, not only Nancy's investigative mind, but also of her no-nonsense attitude. And Robin's "You're right. I know what I meant" is also such a great response, because it, not only validates Nancy's claim (and like, I love how Robin is always the one to support Nancy's in her investigative efforts - while other characters like Jonathan or Steve or even Mike don't believe her or trust her), but also really makes Robin be the brave person she is. I always felt like Robin didn't... really believe in her own bravery. Like she thinks she's only helping because she was at the right time right place (or more like, wrong time wrong place, but whatever) and not because she's a truly good person. She's scared, for sure, but she still goes with them to the Upside Down and she wants to help. And even outside of the overall plot against Vecna, Robin is also pretty damn brave with her feelings and who she is. It's a process sure (one we do discover more in her POV book, "Rebel Robin"), but she's probably one of the bravest and emotionally aware characters in the show. I mean, compare Robin to people like Nancy, or Jonathan, or Mike, or even Steve? She seems pretty self-aware. And I love that.

Nancy pushes for the conversation and won't let it go. But it's actually Robin saying the words - starting the conversation in the Creel's house, and finishing it by admitting the truth to Nancy. I LOVE IT !!!

    Summary

    The thing was dead.

Very dead. Extremely dead. So dead that Robin was pretty sure it had been dead for at least thirty seconds now, which was approximately twenty-nine seconds longer than Robin had expected to be alive, so that was—that was good. Great. Fantastic. They'd won. They were alive. The monster was not.

OR: The one where Nancy Wheeler invents a reward system, Robin Buckley becomes emotionally attached to a crowbar.

    Summary

Nancy Wheeler doesn’t like being touched.

At least, that’s what Steve, Mike, and Jonathan have always believed. Each of them learning her careful rules in different ways.

So when Robin Buckley enters their lives and Nancy’s rules begin to dissolve, they’re the first to notice.

    Summary

A noise cut through the silence, a weird chittering kind of sound, and Nancy felt all the hairs stand on end because god this really was a horror movie, and the monster really was right behind her.

But she didn’t have much time to dwell on that.

    Bookmarker's Notes

My TOP ONE Ronance fanfic 👌 Seriously, that's what got me into the ship, it's just such a good story. And like, the best part is that, it's not only Ronance. It's a GREAT rewrite, starting in s1, of the entire show (well, it's canon divergence I guess, so it doesn't follow all of the same plot points, but still). It's really a Nancy-driven character story, the author just GETS HER so well, it's magnificent. Secondary characters are also really well-written and important to the character and plot. Yeah, it's just a treasure - like every fanfic by this author, btw. GO READ IT.

    NOW !!!

    Summary

Robin Buckley sees dead people. To her, it’s just one more reason on the long list of reasons why she’s a freak. So far, the only bonus is her best friend, Steve, who died 10 years ago. So, it still kinda sucks.

Until Will Byers’ body is found in the quarry and she realises she can’t find his ghost anywhere. Will Byers is not dead.

    Something is afoot in Hawkins.

    Bookmarker's Notes

My comment on this story (CAREFUL IT HAS SOME IMPORTANT SPOILERS, but the summary is IT'S GREAT AND GO READ IT):

"You know, your story is what makes me believe that Steve dying in the canon story could actually work. Sure the context is different - he's already dead in your story, but it's still a death. Robin still loses her best friend. And the others also know Steve for a little bit, even though they don't really see him or interact with him much (except for Eleven). But yeah, it's such a gut-punch, it's not even funny. Poor Robin. But also, how beautiful is it, that Steve feels it's time for him to go, right at the moment where Robin finally finds other people to share her life with, to love? It's heartbreaking, but it's also heartwarming in a sense. Steve knows he can move on, Robin won't be alone. Maybe that's why he stuck around for so long. And heck, even after he's gone, he's not truly gone - it's a soft "C U LATER" 😭

But yeah, this entire story is a treasure, seriously thank you for writing it and sharing it with us. I love how... slow it is? Like, it doesn't feel like Nancy & Robin just fall for each other, or even become friends or trust each other, right from the get-go. Even if there is some crush around here, but it's not the main focus - we have an overall plot and different characters relationships as well. I'm loving how the romance progressed, but I'm also loving how well you portrayed Robin & Steve becoming best friends - especially without the entire Starcourt arc from season 3, that's a tall order to just... not have this foundation for them to be best friends. So yeah, thanks for that!

I'm bookmarking this, it's one of the best Ronance fanfics I have ever read (but also, just one of the best Stranger Things fanfics as well, you know). Thanks again, take care, and I'll see you around, byyyyyyyye ✨️"
