Summary
It’s almost too early to function for most people, but you’ve grown used to waking up before the sun is out and truly enjoy the quiet most days. Technically, the bakery is open, but it’s usually at least another 15 minutes before your sleepy-eyed regulars stumble in for their coffee and muffins. You figure you can be given some leeway as you wipe your hands on your apron and come around the corner to greet your customer.
Your eyes land on a gangly, tall, and too sweet to be older than 30 brunette practically swaying on his feet. You feel your lips curl into a smile you can’t seem to help. Boys are always cute when they’re half-asleep, but this one makes you want to wrap a duvet around his shoulders and send him shuffling back to bed.
You also want to pull the hair curling just behind his ears and see if it’d make those big brown eyes water.
(so, maybe you run a bakery, and maybe you shoot your shot and ask the cute fbi guy on a date, and maybe it grows from there)

Summary
The first time Dorian went to The Bull Pen—by far the worst name in all of Thedas—it was due to the amazing reviews its hot yoga classes had garnered on yelp.
The second time he went to the gym, it was stress-related. (As much as he loathed to admit it, Vivienne was good.)
The fifth time he went might have had something to do with the evening crowd and the easy acceptance that came with them.
But the Iron Bull definitely had (next to) nothing to do with his continued patronage.

Summary
They all heard Patria scratching at the door like the monster out of one of Joly’s kindergarten nightmares, meowing pitifully at the makeshift plywood door (a long, Bossuet related story) that separated the cat from her temporary master. Musichetta mumbled something, and Bossuet’s hand slid up and under Joly’s ratty t-shirt.
Joly looked to the clock on the nightstand and then to the doorway with undisguised contempt.
Somebody needed to feed the damn cat, and it looked like it was going to be him.

For a second, the cool air of the fan hit the skin of his neck like a balm. A shiver ran down his back and Daniel thought it was relief, from the heat, the itchiness, the stares. It was actually the beginning of the end, and Daniel just had no fucking clue.
“What is that?” The voice, his voice, broke the stillness. Cut through it. Swiftly, elegantly, leaving no bloody mess behind. Lestat sounded mocking, sharp, like he'd wanted it to hurt.
“What?” Daniel turned back around to face him; continuing to show him his back, the fragile bend of his neck, felt too dangerous.
“On your neck. What is that on your neck, Daniel?”
__________________________Years after that disastrous interview in San Francisco, Daniel Molloy is working as a music journalist in Los Angeles and is tasked with interviewing rock 'n' roll's newest enfant terrible, Lestat de Lioncourt.
It wouldn't be an issue, if it weren't for the scar on his neck. Two rows of teethmarks, the gnarly outline matching that of Lestat's husband's mouth.
A second chance encounter for Daniel. A second chance at uncovering the dangerous, dark memories he has forgotten, or been made to forget.
