Who the hell was Stilinski? Oh. Derek glared as the guy in the red hoodie crossed to the lab table they were going to be expected to share. No. This wasn’t going to work for him.
“Mr. Harris?” Derek asked.
“It’s definitely not time for questions, but I’m morbidly curious. Go ahead, Mr. Hale.”
“Could you assign me to someone else? Anyone but him?”
Mr. Harris smiled. There was absolutely nothing comforting about it. In fact, all of Derek’s instincts were telling him that smile meant he had royally messed up.
“Well, now that I know you’d prefer not to... yes, you have to be with him.”
Great. Just great.In this AU (heavily inspired by this gifset) the Hales are pushed a few years forward and the Hale Fire never happened. So, this story will explore a lot of “what if”s and different scenarios that might have come from that.

Summary
The two hour drive that should have brought him to Ashburn was interrupted by a squeal from under the hood. The lights on the dash flashed before a warning code blinked on. “Oh, you’ve gotta be,” Stiles pulled over just as soft gray smoke started to billow from under the hood, “fucking with me.”
Just as he pressed his foot to the brake, a grinding shook the jeep’s body. Stiles groaned, letting his head fall back against his seat. He pushed the parking brake and shoved himself out of the car, “Some type of fucking car. How far away are we, Roscoe? Like ten minutes? Couldn’t just make it to Scott’s place, you just had to break down in the middle of nowhere. God-fucking-damnit.”Life seems to be having fun fucking with Stiles, stranding him in the middle of Nowheresville, Tennessee after a Hellish six months at the office, but Scott is here. And there's a guy willing to help him fix his car. So it can't be all bad. He hopes.

Summary
Following the events with the Nogitsune, Stiles is back at home and furious with Derek for his actions, which had him far too close to dying. Eli's angry too, which is unfortunate as Eli's first full moon is coming up and all Derek wants is for his son to embrace his werewolf part. They have to find a way to work through it as a family, but things are never easy with teenagers.
