“Let me show you how to handle it,” Stephanivien said into Artoirel’s ear, sending a shiver down Artoirel’s spine. “Here, grip it with both hands.”
Artoirel blushed furiously and jerked in Stephanivien’s hold, accidentally ramming his elbow back into the man's side. Stephanivien grunted in surprise, only then seeming to realize what he’d said and letting a delighted laugh out against the back of Artoirel’s neck.
“Where did your mind go just now, my friend? I meant the gun, of course.”
