Summary
As a middle school English Literature teacher at The Institute, Alec was pretty happy with his job. He liked the students, he liked the classes he taught and he liked the rest of the teachers, especially the Head of the Science Department, Magnus Bane. Magnus made teaching science look like magic and he also happened to be the most beautiful man Alec had ever met. But because Alec's still firmly in the closet, he's stuck thinking that all it can ever be is a crush.
But then a last minute request to be a substitute teacher with Magnus Bane makes him start to think that just maybe, his future path might not be so fixed after all. That his daydreams of being more to Magnus than just a colleague, might not be so impossible after all.
[Or where Alec gets asked to supervise the 'All of Us: Understanding Gender Diversity, Sexual Diversity and Intersex Topics' seminar with Magnus because no-one else can & he starts to think he might not need to hide his sexuality forever.]

(Full Title: "Who Are You?" And You: An Introduction to Hyperflexible Mythology, and An Examination of its Impact Within and Outside Of Their Associated Fandoms)
What Hogwarts House are you? What element would you bend? What kind of Gym Leader would you be? You probably have an answer for one of those questions. If you know the system well, you might be able to answer for a character from another series, or even someone you know! In this essay, [X] will explain what a “hyperflexible mythology” is, how they work, discuss some of the most successful examples, and show you how to create one for your own original works.
This essay is based on a transcript of a presentation given at a local sci-fi convention in November 2019. Audio from the presentation was recorded, and permission was given by the audience for their voices to be recorded. Audience members will be referred to as “AUDIENCE 1”, “AUDIENCE 2”, etc.

Summary
“That was a disaster. The press is having a field day.”
“It wasn’t my fault,” Tony defends. “That Spider-Guy never knows when to shut up. He distracted me.”
“Your reputation took a blow,” Pepper tells him. “Which will be fixed, of course. I’ve already set it up.”
“Set what up? What, am I going to make flower arrangements with the elderly?”
Pepper slides a piece of paper towards him. “Try an orphan. His name is Peter Parker. His biggest dream is to meet you. But…” She hesitates.
“But?”
“Apparently he doesn’t talk much. Sometimes not at all. Trauma-related.”
“A smart kid who doesn’t talk? Perfect combination. If only all my employees were like that.”
