She tried catching the eye of the auctioneer, who hadn't missed a beat. "I have 40 on the lovely brunette up front. Anyone have forty-one?"
Cooper put his sign up. "I bid my heart goodbye." He said, clearly. The auctioneer finally met her eye under the brim of his hat and she nodded.
"She's won the heart of The Ghoul in the second row."[ In which Lucy and Cooper attend the yearly cattle auction to kick-start their new ranch. ]

Summary
Join Lucy and Dogmeat on a 13-month journey through time as they are sent into the year 2076, 13 months before the Great War.
Seven Years after Lucy begins her Wasteland journey, she’s settled down on a growing Brahmin farm with Cooper. Unable to locate Janey, the two have resigned themselves to following breadcrumbs of leads.
While Lucy is out feeding the cattle one morning, she and Dogmeat are sent through a portal to 2076.
Lucy finally gets to meet her favorite actor, Roosevelt. She gets a job on the set of The Man from Deadhorse.
If she tries undermining Vault Tec while she's there, well whoopsie.
Meanwhile in 2303, Cooper is having his own history rewritten in increasingly debilitating flashbacks. He needs to get help to keep their farm afloat for the next year.
Cooper calls in a favor from an old war buddy, who sends his assistance in the form of a former Vault dweller and his aging grandmother. Together they hold down the fort while Lucy spends her time in the past learning the location of her step-daughter.
Cooper gets to chill in a tank as a mad scientist's experiment for a year while his memories get rewritten.Series

Lucy complicated that plan.
He and vault girl have been acquainted seventy-three years now, been sharing a house and bed the last forty-eight, but it still took about two decades to get in the habit of calling her his wife.
It’s just semantic. California has done well for itself, but it will be a while yet before they have an up and running marriage registry. But for all intents and purposes, Lucy Howard (she started using his name without permission) is his wife.

It is pertinent that you realize only some of what you have learned during your twenty-six years underground will matter up here. Of course, you will have already suspected this, long before you even considered setting foot on the surface.
Accepting that will will be the easy part.
The hard part? Learning that your hobbies and extracurriculars will get you much, much further than everything you thought would be important when it came to tackling the surface head on.
