Once the Black Hand spread its influence across the land, permanently silencing your enemies became significantly more difficult. Until, eventually some crazy bastard with an imagination as twisted as it was creative came up with a solution. Send them to a watery grave. Except this grave didn’t offer the merciful escape of death. Once you dip beneath the waves and the river toxins fill your lungs, you feel every excruciating second of life slipping away, only for the Hand to drag you back from the light kicking and screaming. Drown, wake up, drown, wake up. Over and over for the rest of your eternal life.
