Henry rolled his eyes inwardly. Typical American, no class to speak of. He wasn’t missing anything then by thoroughly and purposefully distancing himself. He, at least, had enough class and enough etiquette drilled into him to keep his expression neutral as he took his hand and said:
“That’s quite alright, Alex. It’s nice to meet you.”
At least, that’s what he meant to say.

Unfortunately, it's up to Edmund Pevensie to remedy that lack and he wasn’t extremely fond of the institution of confession in the first place.
So he got creative.
