It's been two months since everyone defeated Vecna and El sacrificed herself to save everyone. Mike is dealing with confusing emotions as to why he doesn't miss El in the way he should and talks to a sentimental Hopper about El.

I don't really know how major you would consider this leak, but just be aware. Also this fanfic was written with the intention of being the most accurate to how I think Byler will happen in the epilogue. Not trying to convince you to read, just more saying that if you have Byler doubt this may be a good way to help some of it because I'm trying to make it as believable as possible.

They stared at each other.
The air was thick and suddenly it was like Will could taste ozone at the back of his tongue, like electricity was coating his mouth and didn’t leave any room to breathe, to think, and his voice was wobbly, uncertain, as he said, “what do you mean… other boys?”
