10 years after Neil’s suicide, Todd is not doing anything with his life.
Well, that’s not quite true. Teaching is an honourable profession, even if the pay-check doesn’t show it. He meets with the other Poets, albeit rarely, and has a somewhat steady housing. Really, he’s doing better than most.
It’s just that surviving isn’t quite living, and when all you can think about is your dead friend, life looses most of its merit.
But he makes do. As always, if only to prove his parents wrong. The regret is only secondary.***
