Summary
Steve Rogers, super soldier. It’s amazing really that it takes them all so long to work out just what the serum can do… but given enough time all things become apparent. This is a story about love, and loss; the things we would do to be true to ourselves and true to our hearts; and the prices you must pay to do that.
(There is a more detailed description at the end, in case you want more warnings and spoilers)

One of the first fics I read when I entered this fandom 5 years ago, and have been keeping an eye out for it since. Finally found! And still holds as one of the saddest fics I've read. A take on mortality against immortality, and the way you deal with falling in love knowing that one will perish and you'll keep moving on. But do you move on? Will Steve? So good. Must read. So happy to have been reunited with this piece!

Summary
In the wake of the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Avengers need to pick up the pieces, and figure out where to go from here. Tony had a plan, at least he thought he had a plan, but Steve Rogers seems to have blown most of those out of the water.
Spoilers for CA:TWS, lots of them.
Summary is a little vague to avoid spoiling, but it's a plotty, post CA:TWS 'what do we do now' fic.

This book is amazing. Full of angst and starts from Tony as a young boy growing up in the Stark household all the way to his avenging years. Amazing.

Summary
“Why don’t you take that off,” Tony whispers back, and he tugs at the guy’s mask. He tries an arm around his waist, firm, solid, hot. Tony is hard and it’s obvious. He thinks he’d be more of a gentleman about it under normal circumstances, but in this place, it’s like a handshake.
He shudders and his back muscles move beneath Tony’s hand. Tony’s pants grow tighter. He smells like Barbasol. A well-respected man.
Tony wants to disrespect him.
(an AU where Steve never gave up the Nomad mantle, Tony has a coke habit, and they meet on the dance floor at Studio 54.)

I know I tend to repeat myself, but again, for those in the back, GO READ EVERYTHING FROM KIYAAR RIGHT THIS INSTANCE. NOW. NOW. NOW. Another instant favorite from her and her brilliance, like oh my god, the pain is /real/. Everything Kiyaar does, the dialogue (perfect and rich and contrasted and conflicted and sad and heart-wrenching and snappy and slow and pained), the pacing (perfectly done; never dragging, never jumping, never stale, never confusing), the characterization (so spot on, SO THEM to a pointed T, it is so Truthfully them and witty and self-sacrificing and everything I wish I could hope to convey and understand about these characters as she truly truly truly does), the story progression and particular style of writing (quick and precise and pained like poetry without making it seem anything but natural. Always 'showing' and never 'telling', to the point I will forever believe she is a published author, winning awards and crushing souls with her beautifully talented words)--and so much more that I can't even begin to describe because I am just full on envious of her talent. I always have looked up to Kiyaar and always will as my very favourite author, and a writer I aspire to be myself (but never will be, I know that.)
