“S?” Kris whispered and the SOUL bobbed in an affirmative.
Kris had never tried to communicate with the SOUL directly like this. They didn’t want to. But as the SOUL drew an ‘A’ and an ’N’, Kris paused at the next ’S’ in the message.
Slowly, with great deliberation, the SOUL spelled out “HAS ONE HP.”

For once, Kris and the Player might be aligned.

Fantastic Kris characterization. Given the nature of the game, I think it’s often very difficult to write Kris in a realistic way that simultaneously adds more personality to them than we get to see while we control them, AND doesn’t completely change the parts of their personality we DO know. (Kris generally seems a bit quiet, a bit sarcastic, perhaps a bit sullen/pessimistic—though I think that last part is more of a stretch based on vibes than evidence. But I digress.)
My point is, this author has NAILED a Kris voice. Amazing!!

NEVER KNEW I NEEDED BYAKUYA AND HINA FRIENDSHIP UNTIL I READ THIS. It’s so naturally cultivated, too! It could only ever happen after Trial 4, and slowly, awkwardly. Hina wouldn’t pull her punches and neither would Byakuya. With how accurately this author has captured each character’s dialogue, mannerisms, and motivations/general character traits, you’ve made me believe it *could* happen. That they could be friends, really and truly. THH survivors you will ALWAYS be special to me. I love any fic that takes the time to explore how they fit with one another, how their dynamics shift over time. Absolutely stellar.

She showed up at Kris’s door with her hood up and her tail twitching, smelling like smoke that wasn’t hers. She had one of her mother’s old flannels tied around her waist, the sleeves long and dragging. Kris didn’t ask. Just stepped aside.
Toriel, from the kitchen, poked her head out and said only: “Shoes off, dear. I just mopped.”
Like Susie belonged there.
Like she wasn’t a guest anymore.
Kris gave her the couch and curled up on Chariel. Susie protested, at first—“It’s your damn house, dude,” she said, “I can sleep on the floor, I’ve done it before”—but Kris was already half-buried in blankets and completely silent, which meant the conversation was over.
At some point, when the house had gone completely quiet and the shadows settled, Susie whispered:
“Hey.”
Kris shifted their head to look at her.
The moonlight caught her hair, the jagged edge of her teeth. Her eyes were clearer than they ever were at school. No posturing. No sneer. Just Susie. Bare and real in a borrowed T-shirt, her knees pulled up, her voice a rasp.

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.
