I came back to this after reading for the first time in January/February and it's still just as good as I remember. I love the soft, loving moments they share and how careful and caring they are with watch other.
If this didn't have a happy ending I would be devastated, I need them to live happily ever after. -

It took me a few chapters to get into it but once I did I couldn't stop reading until the end. What I love about AUs is that authors can make the conflict mostly external to the relationship and they will get closer while dealing with it.

I felt for George so much in this fic. He had so much on his plate and having someone take care of HIM for the first time in so long was so touching to read.

Summary
George winds up and whips the pitch into Sapnap’s mitt. Strike, right near the edge of the zone. The batter tries to swing at it but he doesn’t manage to get his bat on it at all.
Confidence begins to settle in. He can do this. He’s already thrown a strike, he just needs to throw two more. Then he can handle the next batter.
As Sapnap tosses the ball back to him and he walks back to his place on the mound, he makes eye contact with Dream. He’s smiling at him so wide that he can see his teeth. It almost feels like a comforting pat on the back from halfway across the infield.
George has played for five minor league baseball teams in about as many years so when he finally gets a chance to play in the majors, he intends on making the most of it. That means pitching his best on the mound and training constantly. It also means trying his best to avoid falling for Dream, the hotshot third baseman with a really nice smile. It should be easy, but things don't always go as planned.

An intriguing story, I am quite proud to say I was onto the plot twist since the brown stains were first mentioned (because i usually miss all the clues when first reading a mystery) so i was able to catch rest of the hints too and had a great time reading and later re-reading

Holy shit was this good! I have no words. In the first part I was genuinely terrified for George and by the last part I could actually imagine dnf somewhat working out in a romantic sense?? (as in becoming equal partners down the line)
This was a wild ride, the plot was magnificent and it must've taken hell of a lot of work. Nothing but respect

Summary
The blaring thump of George's heart serves as an alarm, reminding him that where he crossed this line the first time there was reason. There was alcohol intoxicating his fingertips as they wound through Dream's hair, there was the excuse of a dumb college party where everyone hooks up with anyone, and there was Dream's sticky and sweet gaze on him, luring him in.
Dream's tugged away from the soft yellow glow of the hallway into the dim, shadow-plagued room, and George welcomes him lips-first.
How could this be a bad idea when Dream's lips feel like that?
Or, George's one-night stand with his least favorite person turns into a little more than that.

James takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.
“You are not a young man,” M says plainly. “Everyone, even James Bond, needs time to let wounds heal, both physical and mental. Pushing yourself is going to get you or someone else killed eventually.”
“So not another mission then?” James asks and moves to stand.
