He leaned in further, his voice a ghost against the heavy wool of Maekar’s tunic. "I liked it. I liked the pain of it. It felt… right. To be at your mercy."
Maekar stood frozen, the bandage dangling from his hand, his mind struggling to process the words.
"What?" Maekar asked, his voice flat with disbelief.

“Must’ve been an accident. Now’s not really a good time, Cas,” Dean strains out. He doesn’t dare let his eyes stray from where they’re locked on the kitchenette table in front of him, like if he can’t see Cas then Cas can’t see him. “Sometimes a man needs his privacy.”
“Is that what you yearn for, Dean? Privacy?”
He gulps down the sinking, sinking feeling that he has been caught with no way out. It’s not the first time in his life that he’s been trapped in a half-truth, and he bears this with as much grace as he ever has in situations like it. Jaw clenched. Ungraceful. “I’m not sure what you’re getting at.”
Cas’s voice is all unflinching divinity from a creature that watched the Library of Alexandria burn. “I feel your longing.”

The looking glass was fair quality and Daeron’s hand looked promisingly steady in its smooth reflection, poised as it was with straight blade aloft, dripping with water from the nearby basin, inches from Egg’s scalp.
“Do it before you lose your nerve!” Egg encouraged, trying to balance his desire to inspire his brother’s confidence with the mandatory stillness of his head.
Daeron’s eyes were pinched, hovering right above Egg’s silver little head in the mirror, that harsh set to his concentrated features put in glaring relief by the candles as he studied the younger’s locks. “I’m only getting the lay of it…your skull.” He clarified. “Wouldn’t want me to flay you open, would you?”

"Dunk you cannot be serious." Its Raymuns voice he found hitting his ears. Clear as day and innocent like the morning birdsong. "Is this your plan for the evening? Getting yourself sick before tourney?"
Dunks jaw flexed like he was chewing on his next answer. There's a shade of embarrassment on his cold wet cheeks. "In all fairness, Egg is collecting a cover from the market." A clever misdirect given that Dunk had no plans for himself.
Raymun looked him over, then the horses lain under the tree. There was a boyish pout to his face as those dark eyebrows knitted together and pink lips pinched. Displeasure certainly looked quaint on this man.
"And what if I were to offer you a place to stay for the night?"
