Partially inspired by a racer AU I saw on tiktok.
Riders cleared out of the way as Macaque wordlessly swung onto his bike, movements loose and practiced, like the machine was an extension of his body. He didn’t rush. Didn’t need to.
It was an unspoken challenge, and everyone recognized it.
Macaque glanced over his shoulder. “Try to keep up, King.”
Wukong caught it with one hand. “When has that ever stopped me?”

Summary
Sometime after the near total collapse of the universe, Wukong and Macaque decided to work on their complicated relationship together. They’d been working together on and off since the Lady Bone Demon’s return, and after having their past thrown in both their faces repeatedly, it felt like it was time to actually address their gripes.
It took a while to get where they were. There was yelling, lots of it even, tears, somehow even more of those, and hugging each other so tightly it hurt, but eventually their relationship turned less bitter than sweet, if only slightly. They could complain about their old partnership without getting defensive and devolving into a shouting match. In a way it was therapeutic to vent their frustrations without fear of retaliation.
Somehow in finding this new found peace Wukong felt comfortable enough to ask about their past sex life together.
