As Okarun sucked in a sharp breathe in between a mouthful of teeth that were too-sharp, he could taste his own blood fall onto his tongue, still warm and fresh.
The moment his transformation faded, it was like someone set a match to his skin, seeping under his muscles as gravity took hold and made him collapse. He braced himself against the cold pavement, gritting his teeth together at how his arms were trembling.
