It’s a little known fact on the express (as in it’s another fact Welt is never planning to tell anyone) that mr Yang doesn’t actually need to sleep. Following the events of Penacony, it’s not something he’s quite interested in either, but that just makes it easier to help the other member of the crew drift off.
Or: five times Welt Yang helped the members of the astral express go to sleep and one time they helped him through his own insomnia.

Summary
Summary: Wild is currently dealing with a lot of problems. First of all he has most definitely been stabbed and it is quite painful. Second the master sword is using his energy to reform and he doesn’t really have any to go around right now so it’s going to be hard to cook lately. And finally, Sky is swiftly approaching him and the shattered master sword and the first two problems might make it hard to explain anything.
Or: Wild smashes the master sword into pieces and then tries (and fails) to convince Sky that this is completely normal before he passes out.
