Summary
The witch hunt was over six months ago, but that hasn't changed the attitude towards Varian. He is still the cursed son of a witch who does 'magic' in his laboratory. Even when he tries to help, he is still considered a 'witch' or "wizard". No matter how many times he explains to people that he is an alchemist; no matter how many good deeds he does, he will always be a monster in their eyes, all because of the pathetic old woman who wished to live forever and stole the princess. His life is this is the solitude of the laboratory. His desire is to help people and become the engine of scientific progress. Who would have thought that all this would turn against him when the princess of Corona came to him for help. Varian knew that magic only brought him harm. Expect that the birth This magic, even if the princess would be useful, was not worth it.

Hugo, used to the younger's usual rage, threw his arm around Varian’s shoulders. “Just tell me! I won't judge! I’ve had my fair share of crimes in the past and-” He stopped as he felt Varian push him harshly.
“I said drop it, okay?!” Varian glared at Hugo with a look the blond had never seen before. He’d been glared at by the alchemist many times before but this… this was different. “Just leave me alone.” The ravenette stormed off in the other direction. Hugo watched with terrified eyes and Nuru and Yong just cringed visibly.
