As much as he was reluctant to admit it, there was a certain kind of beauty on Earth - a strange yet comforting form of beauty.

Summary
If you had the money, you would currently be at college studying to be a marine biologist. But alas, you and your family are not very well off.
About a year after you turned 18, your parents decided that they were sick of living by the sea so they moved away. You didn't want to move, so they waited until you were comfortable enough to live on your own and graciously let you keep the house by the sea.
You work at a little surf shop full time, you don't really have any friends because you're not fond of people, and now the only two family members that you know of, just moved away. You've actually been enjoying living on your own. After all, you're almost 20 now, so you can take care of yourself just fine.
You spend the majority of your time on the beach, cleaning it up a lot. Your house is located off to the edge of town, so it's fairly far away from the public beach, but the trash from it still pollutes the private beach you reside by.
You're out on the beach almost every day. There are several secluded pretty areas in this tucked away nook of the beach and tons of wildlife since it's so quiet and private. So quiet and secluded in fact, that you find something no one's ever seen before.
