He was floating in it, unable to find some essence of comfort. Countless seconds and minutes and hours of this torture. He felt like he was unraveling, losing himself. There was no luxury of dissociating from it, it was constantly there digging into his very being, his very thoughts, his very soul-
A pause in the mind numbing burn. He felt something tugging him into the green. Finally, the feeling of freedom from this state of being, accompanied by a flash of vivid, toxic green.
(Or, I basically wanted my own version of Peter Parker in Gotham teehee. It is my first actual fanfic, so go easy on me!)
