Interesting premise! And I like the sass of the protagonist. She feels like a real person. And the inclusion of all the little “worldbuilding” details are neat too! Stuff like southern accents and humidity. It really makes it feel like this occurs in reality (if that makes sense)(And thankfully the rest can be found on fanfiction.net - woo!)

“You assume I mean you harm…” he utters softly.
And just like that, the stern, rigid scowl is instantly wiped off your face.
The man in the truck sounds…
…sad.
Not offended. Nor angered by your thinly-veiled implication.
Just sad. Dispirited, even. As if it’s only just occurred to him that you might have perceived him as a threat.

One-oh-six-one was an anomaly.
Well, perhaps that was inaccurate.
They could very well be a perfectly average member of their own species.
But no mecha Prowl knew of could punch a Quintesson in the face, snag their servo in its jaws, rip off their own servo to escape, kill that same Quintesson with extreme prejudice, and then scoop their missing piece from its mouth; not without expressing any form of pain at all.

Summary
His first thought, upon seeing the mech jump off of the cliffside and fall directly towards him, was that the Quintessons had somehow managed to make a Cybertronian to fight for them. That the mech descending from above, plasma blade pointed down towards him as he was held in place by the Scouts on either side of him, was a reanimated corpse, experimented on by the Quints to make a mech-killing machine.
[No EM field. No spark-pulse signature. Possession of Quintesson weaponry. 42%.]
He reconsiders when the downwards motion of the mech slices through the segmented arm locked onto his right servo.

Interesting characterization of the twins and Mirage and Prowl, and very neat messages.
It is interesting to see the battle/struggles against love and care. But I like how this story weaves deeper meanings to their characters, and I especially love chapter 2’s message through Prowl of mercy.(Though certain characters’ lack of love / stupidity makes me angry, it is nice to have them slowly grow lol. I suppose that just means it’s good writing).
Also chapter 4(?) (the intermission teaching lesson) is killing me XD
Firm with subtle sass Prowl my beloved
(And I love Sunstreaker’s sass whilst teaching)Back at it again in ch. 5, this story has such good messages. I love it.
I didn’t expect to find messages about grace and mercy and letting vengeance go, letting God be the one to deliver justice, but here in a Transformers fic, but here we are:)

"Well, Sideswipe had been right about Ratchet not being on-shift, but Sunstreaker wasn’t going to let his brother (nor the cosmos) make a fool out of him; if Sunstreaker said he would get Ratchet, then he would get Ratchet, and that was that."
Or, alternatively; Ironhide was right. It pains Ratchet's spark, but it's true.
He spoiled the twins.

I really like this interpretation of the twins! The idea of them being moreso young adults at this point (more brash/impulsive, knowing less, etc) and the idea they view this as a “cushy gig” lolOhhhhhhhh
That’s another really neat idea! That the pair would have Doctor trauma due to past experiences around d doctors and their interests in the uniqueness of their split spark (experimentations and such). I may adopt this headcanon.Aaaaaa
I love the little bonding creator-child thing. And it’s another neat worldbuilding aspect!Ooh, idk if I’ve heard before of the medic oath to not kill, but I like the concept

Looooove the worldbuilding and Sunstreaker characterization insights. This fic really shows how he’s deeper and there’s more to him than meets the eye/a surface overview, and I like that.
And it’s giving me feelsssss 🥺

See for yourself, what else is out there.
A normal day is severely sidetracked when a gold and silver sphere appears in Omega Outpost One. No one remembers taking it in, no one knows where it came from and no one certainly knows what it's capable.
Apparently it's capable of peering into alternate universes, differing worlds that show them what-ifs, maybe-could-haves and never-will-be. This will be a learning experience, not only for the Autobots, but for the Decepticons as an identical artifact appears on the Nemesis and the Cons are unknowingly watching alongside them.
Aka, I make TFP Canon react to different AUs and later on, different continuities.

“Jazz?”
“Prowl.”
“What are you saying?” Prowl asked slowly.
A sigh left the human. “We don’t get much time.” Jazz claimed softly. “Being real honest? Humans are lucky to make it just one vorn.”
There was a heavy silence that followed that proclamation.
“What?” Prowl finally managed to say.
“Uh,” Jazz muttered, almost indecipherable.
Prowl stared a moment longer before rebooting his optics. They sharpen; wings flared. “Get out.”Series

Neat Prowl insights :)
I love getting to see him come in and shine, doing what he does bust and making everything more efficient and effective. Reminds me of a certain story around how 1% improvements in 100 different areas gets a 100% net improvement (or something to that effect). Also note Ironhide is a weapons specialist as well as commonly Prime’s bodyguard/formerly in the royal guard or whatever
Awww, Ironhide’s a good mentor to Bluestreak. I like his characterization here.
…
Prowl drinking something to try and slow down his TacNet after questions about Praxus, to slow/stop it from running simulations that no longer matter.
In all likelihood, simulations about what possible could’ve been done to save it. 🥺I like this last conversation

Sunstreaker never thought he'd have the patience for anyone except his brother - that is until a chatty Praxian comes into his life and suddenly all Sunstreaker wants to do is listen. Bluestreak thought he'd never find a mech who tolerated his talking, never mind one who actually enjoys it.

Enjoying the Sunstreaker characterization, particularly at the beginning. I like the idea that he appreciates beautiful things in general (and that earthen sunsets are included in that).
Which makes sense because Cybertron’s atmosphere is much thinner and of a different composition… -

They have words for ‘certain,’ ‘speculation,’ ‘hope.’ They hardly ever use them. Verb tenses (indicated with sound tags, like English does with ‘ing’ or ‘ed’) mark off whether a thing didn’t happen, possibly happened, probably happened, was personally witnessed to have happened, reliably documented to have happened, logically must have happened, or is hoped to have happened. Future tense is not as elaborate, since none of that has happened. Although there are a fucking boatload of past tenses, at least it is consistent. No irregular verbs at all.
This afternoon was all structural comparisons with Arcee. She says a sentence in English, then again in Cybertronix while I write it down. Then she checks the spelling. Then we would go through and gloss word by word.
It rained recently.

“The good news here,” Dr. Nomura said, “Is that we don’t have to rush the solution to any problems that arise. An immobile mech, the energon system depressurized and the lower lines drained—the patient is not going to bleed out or go into shock. He is not using weapons. He is not going to sustain additional damage from the open systems. And there will be enough residual energon available to the protoform to keep that healthy under these conditions for…judging by the size, I would say two or three days. Plenty of time to deal with any unexpected emergencies.”

Summary
Jazz is a small-time criminal broker. Against his better judgment, he agrees to fence a stolen tactical computer, but instead of a fancy mod, that ‘computer’ turns out to be a beautiful, amnesiac Praxian.
Jazz may be a criminal, but he’s got limits, and mecha trafficking is one of them. He frees the captive Praxian and embarks on a quest to help the mech regain his memory.
It won’t be easy. The mech’s kidnappers aren’t happy their prize was stolen, and looming overhead is the spectre of whoever commissioned that tactical computer, and their unknown intentions for its bearer.

Interesting worldbuilding and lovely characterization alreadyyyyJazz being created as a military construction thing with a poor vocalizer, so he saved and saved until he could afford a good one capable of singing 🥺
“Snuffed” also refers to getting killed, in reference to snuffing a spark. Interesting
“ The chromatophores covering Jazz’s plating darken to the color of shadow. His parastructure, the non-essential outer armor and bits related to his alt-mode, flows through a series of microtransformations that alter his recognizable outline from stocky construction frame into something sharper and sleeker. Jazz reaches into his subspace, retrieves his visor, and clicks the optical band into its mounts. It flickers to life after running diagnostics, casting a golden glow across the alley.”
“ The citystate of Polyhex is sunk into a three-pronged valley surrounded by spires and plateaus. Once its residents ran out of flat ground, their only choice was to build up, and the Polyhexians have been turning their city into a vertical labyrinth ever since, layer upon layer of overpasses, skyways, balconies and elevated plazas. In Polyhex, the best, most direct routes don’t need wheels. The Sideways Roads are open to anybot as long as they’re willing to take a brisk climb–assuming, of course, they have no fear of heights and a good grappler as backup if they crash through shoddy construction work (Jazz has both; frame-original even!).”Oooooh👀
“ mechanometers” I like this adjustment. This writer uses good vocabulary that makes sense
“ Polyhexians, accustomed to public spaces that pack them together like cubes in a crate, keep their fields flattened close to their plating. When Ruse reaches out with his field in the Polyhexian greeting, Jazz temporarily turns down his field dampener and extends his own field so they brush politely together. Ugh, Ruse’s field feels slimy, like touching the slugs on Raya IV–but not the nastiest field Jazz’s ever tasted, so Meister keeps his expressionless attitude.”
Gah! There are too many cool details and worldbuilding tips!
“Primus’ blood” oh that’s a new one. ((Like I was saying! Cool words!))
This writer’s really good at action too
“ Flicking solvent in his direction, Jazz says, “Gimme your comm code,” receiving a response ping near-instantly. Tracer must have crazy processing speed.”
Hmmmmmm“ Mecha who can’t follow the Sideways Roads will hire a courier who’ll make the trip for them. Mostly, couriers are used for express deliveries and (more) smuggling. It’s dangerous but well-paid work, and it won’t draw too much attention. Jazz grins, checks his dim reflection in the stairway’s metal wall, and engages his new programming.”
Oooh, the no safety systems in the TacNet is interesting
“ Tracer exvents a shivery sort of whistle–he goes nonverbal when he’s stressed, Jazz makes a note–” :(
{Reminder: Conversation partners expect a response in-kind and may become hostile if they believe you are intentionally snubbing them. If your systems are too strained to reply using voice or text, try apologizing later.}
AwwwwVery interesting link - Enforcers work for and enforce the will of Primus (and focus on crimes against him), so Prowl is kinda religious(?)
XD
I love the idea that Prowl sleeps deep, sleeps hard (features of the TacNet), and loves his beauty sleep. The unique lore around Praxus is very interesting. Along with the interesting differences in our bots’ venting systems / preferred temperatures.
:0 Using the wings to cool down is so cool!Very interesting cuisine. And! Intentionally or not, I’ve finally found something that acknowledges taste shouldn’t matter as much to Cybertronians as it does humans! Kinda sorta. But I like the idea the rich have to enhance their taste, and for regular people temperature and texture are used instead.
Ch. 2
