But that's okay, because he's found something small and sticky and new --and maybe sentient-- to occupy his time.
Something to occupy all the empty, isolating, suffocating loneliness of being somebody else to everyone else, and having no one to come home to.

When Eddie and Venom realize they've left something behind in Peter's world, they make the journey back, and finally meet Spider-Man.
He's a lot sadder than he was described.
Venom demands to Eddie that they remedy that. Immediately.
