Summary
No matter how many times this happens, Hailey will never get used to it. All she can do is pray to whoever will listen and try not to scream at whatever being dictates so much trauma in their lives. So she'll hold his hand and have enough strength for both of them until he has enough strength to hold her up.
(A future fic of sorts; canon compliant. Lots of upstead)

Summary
“I read your injured on duty report. You’ve had a hell of a run. Six broken fingers, one broken wrist, five broken ribs, lacerated skull, over a hundred stitches. And it’s not the first time you’ve been shot.”
She can’t heal him. Not physically at least.
His scars have long healed, leaving the remnants on his body. His scars have stories - of pain, grief, loss - and all she can do is heal him, time and time again with her touch.
