No one at the 118 wants anything to do with him since he dropped the stupid lawsuit.
The pain is too much. Knowing the burden he had unravelled onto them, almost costing them all their jobs, is a guilt like no other.
He decides to fix the way he’s feeling, and believes the one way to do so is to not be here anymore.

Buck does something really stupid whilst his mental health is at an all time low. His texts to the wrong diaz may have just saved his life, and opened it to a new journey of forgiveness and healing.

Even when most people could say that Evan "Buck" Buckley won and could finally get back to work at the 118...it all tasted to bittersweet.
Turns out that maybe he lost exactly the things he was figthing for and aparently it didn´t matter how much he tried to apologize...nobody was willing to listen and day after day with every glare, harsh word trown his way and the absolute silence from the people he once considered his family, to not even mention how things were between Eddie and him-it all became to much for his heart and mind to handle-hence Buck´s breaking point.
Now the universe was actually pissed off things may need to take a turn for better or for worse depending on who you ask. Cause for anyone to learn the right lesson...things need to happend.Or...
Buck gives up and decides that enough is enough and because the universe actually listens (and it feels like Buck deserves a break) it is time for everyone else to learn a lesson or two by any means necessary, even if near death experiences, people actually using their words, amnesia, ghost from the past (metaphorical and literal) are needed.

It took too long, but the ambulance arrived on scene, taking in the accident of a fellow firefighter before they moved down. “Ok, this is one of our own, but we still need to treat it like any other car accident. Jones, Garcia, you are heading down to the crash site, and I want to know everything about Buckley’s situation.” Captain Hill of B-Shift 118 instructed his team and watched closely as Jones and Garcia headed down the hill to the mangled, familiar blue jeep. They all knew how important Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley was to A-Shift, so this was about to be the most brutal rescue of their career, and if they failed, they would lose an outstanding firefighter.

Maybe something you all have wanted for so long, and I keep failing at making this type of story. I hope this is my last and successful attempt.

All the while he is trying to let go of the love of his life and deal with finding out he is a dad to too abused little girls. When he learns one or both of his children may die due to how sick they are from their abuse. He may face having to make the ultimate sacrifice while trying to figure out the best way to say goodbye leaving his girls with a father that was never allowed to raise him.
In this fic one of the medical inaccuracies is involving dying to donate vital organs to save their recipient in this world the donor can chose to do this after going through the legal process. So that’s all I can say I hope you can give this fic a chance and here we go

He was heading back to the loft after the first 12 hour shift of three in a row, opting for the stairs instead, needing the extra time to clear his head after another crappy day at work. He thought after three weeks the team would at least start to forgive him, but nobody had so much as looked his way for more than ten seconds before averting their eyes in disgust. As much as he wanted to call in sick, he thought he could hold on just a little longer, and if they still didn't forgive him, he could always just go back to active duty.
He climbed the last flight of stairs and headed down the hallway toward his loft, he pulled his keys from his pocket and fumbled when they slipped from his grasp and clattered to the floor, the noise echoing through the silent hallway. He bent down to pick them up, only to get whacked in the back of the head as he rose, his face smashing against his door, leaving a small trail of blood from the impact as he passed out, feeling a small prick in his neck.
OR
Buck goes missing after the lawsuit, turns out he was a SEAL and his kidnapper fakes his suicide, but Eddie doesn't believe it.

“You said you wanted–” He looks back over at the Jeep. His feet start walking before his brain realizes what he’s doing, and soon enough, he’s standing right at the Jeep. He shoves past Hen and Chimney, and that’s when he sees him.
Buck is unconscious in the driver’s seat of the car, his face covered in blood, almost unrecognizable.
“Eddie. Eddie!” Bobby grabs him and pulls him back, but he’s trying to fight out of Bobby’s restraint.
“Let me go! I have to be with him!”
