The steady beat of Uzui-san’s drum. Remembered the smell of the Earth. A deep, rich scent, like it was giving him one last goodbye. Then all Tanjirou remembered was falling. He remembered heat. His vision going a vibrant red, then the white he knew meant death. Tanjirou had died ready. He had died content.

    Kamado Tanjirou died at twenty-five to the destructive heat of the Demon Slayer Mark.
