Leaning down to kiss him, the soft press of lips against his so real he’s breathless pulling away. Their kisses last a lifetime in his dreams. Lewis always opens up like a flower under him, parting his lips to let Sebastian in, whining when their tongues meet and tangle together. Lewis’s hands are soft when they take hold of his hair, pulling on blonde locks to bring Sebastian closer to him. It's like they’re trying to become one person sometimes.

"Do not mistake me for Aerys or Rhaegal," he muttered, voice strained with forced control, though Baelor could hear the metered exhale of his breath. "Do you hear me?"
Maekar's grip tightened, and Baelor felt his weight more acutely up the length of his spine as he bent nearer again, "do you hear me?" he asked once more, a mean edge to his voice- as if he were asking Baelor if he yielded with his sword knocked free of his hand and Maekar's knee shoving his gorget against his throat. The answer had been obvious then, as it was obvious now. Baelor had always evaded such an answer, enjoying the life and vicious spirit in his brother's eye; he evaded the answer now, though he had nothing to stare at besides the grain of the table.

Duncan never imagined having another chance. "I suppose if you'll have me," he began, kneeling down before Baelor on the grassy field. "I swear to cling to you so often, you'll pray I start avoiding you, your Grace."
There was a smile along Baelor's lips, sunlight splitting through his tufts of black and silver streaked hair. "Will my prayers be answered?" He asked, tilting his head in curiosity. He was handsome with it short, majestic now that it was longer.
Duncan grew fierce. "The old gods and the new wouldn’t be able to keep me away."

When Baelor miraculously survives the gash to his head, Duncan is his Knight. Through politics, travel, friendship, and especially training his stubborn nephew Egg.
Then the dragon hatches for the first time in sixty years, and it’s clear to Duncan that their story has only just begun.
