“Chris?” Eddie asks, turning away from the stove only to see Chris wearing his headphones at the kitchen table. “Chris!” he calls out and waits for Chris to free up an ear. “Did you hear me?”
“Something about Buck?” Chris guesses. “What is it now?”
Eddie has no idea where this kid gets his sass from.
“I wanted your opinion,” Eddie responds, pointing his spatula at Chris, “on whether or not you think Buck might have feelings for me? Because I’m trying to decide if I should say something to him or not.”
Chris pulls his headphones off fully, placing them on the table.
“About your big gay crush?” Chris asks, looking for clarification.
Eddie rolls his eyes and nods. “Sure, my ‘big gay crush’.”
“I don’t know why you don’t just show him the tattoo,” Chris replies. “I’m pretty sure he’ll be able to figure it out from there.”

Eddie stared, the bottle of lube in his hand feeling suddenly like a live grenade. “You are out of your goddamn mind, Buckley.”
“I’ve tried everything!” Buck pushed off the doorframe, his tall, broad-shouldered frame vibrating with another sharp hic! “Water upside down, holding my breath, getting scared—I even tried spoonfuls of sugar! My diaphragm is cramping,” he whined. “Please, man. It says it’s a medical thing. A… a rectal digital massage!”
To cure his hiccups, Buck sought Eddie's help for a platonic anal fingering. Unfortunately, Eddie had never been good at saying no to Buck.

He’s pretty sure they’re crossing a million boundaries of friendship right here, locked together in Eddie’s bathroom as if the rest of the house isn’t empty — with the door closed, again, like the whole house isn’t empty. Eddie’s even shirtless, his T-shirt abandoned so he wouldn’t get hair and shaving cream on it, and it’s all Buck can do to stop his eyes from wandering — at least when Eddie’s looking.
Yet, when Eddie had casually brought up the fact that Chris is coming home, and that he’s ready to get rid of the mustache, Buck had pounced at the opportunity to follow him.
Or, there's a mustache, then there isn't, and they're in love and horny about it.

He nods his head, “Yeah, yeah I know.” Eddie lets out a sigh, “But she asks me if I'm dating someone every time we talk, you know?” he briefly look up to him and look away immediately, as if he got caught or something, “Then my dad scolds her about it, they argue, one of my tia or tio hears about it, they all go off and theorize how good it’d be if i just moved back there.” he shakes his head, incredulous.
“At least they’re not going off about how sad looking you are or lonely.”
Eddie throws his head back dramatically, sighing loud, “Urgh!”
The words come out of him before he even notices it.
“Baby.” Buck calls him.
The words visibly freeze both of them into place. Buck’s stomach drops the same way it does when you miss a step and almost fall down. He swallows around it, “I mean,” he says, chuckling, rising up and slapping his hand on his legs, “Stop whining like a baby, get yourself ready and let's go. I can’t drive you to the airport if you’re not ready!”
