La población omega, que ya era reducida, se vio casi exterminada. En especial los omegas masculinos, que en algunos pueblos eran vistos desde el nacimiento como el pecado encarnado.
Así, la humanidad solo se vio sostenida por alfas y betas.
Aunque a veces se tenía la sospecha de algunas personas, que lucían rasgos más suaves y actitudes más dulces, al final terminaban siendo betas. Lucerys caía en ese grupo.
O eso creyó.
