Summary
Since David Rossi and Jason Gideon are such good friends and work together rather well, it would make sense that their protégés would work together well and be friends as well, right? Aaron Hotchner and Spencer Reid would happily tell you that you're wrong and then go on a very long rant as to why the other man is atrocious. As years pass and changes in the unit occur, they adapt to new challenges, stresses, and people. There are three main consistent factors within the BAU: the semi-acceptable coffee kept in the break rooms, that Hotch and Reid have exceptionally high standards for their teams and themselves, and that Hotch and Reid absolutely hate one another.

Summary
A collection of Criminal Minds one-shots/short stories which are inspired (usually) by music. Whatever song(s)/other work have inspired the fic will be posted in an author's note. Unless explicitly mentioned within the author's note of that work, none of these stories are interlinked or a part of the same universe. They all borrow aspects of larger works that I've written (such as how the units within the BAU work and some of my more fleshed out OCs), but nothing is related. The ships and characters being focused on will vary, so pay attention to that if you're particular about what you read. I probably won't update this terribly often as these are more often than not just ideas that pop into my head and won't leave me alone.

Summary
The BAU is on a case in the middle of nowhere when the SUV Aaron and Emily are in breaks down. While trying to fix it or get a tow, a man in a turquoise Chevy truck appears and gets them to safety when a tornado forms and starts heading for them. While they wait for the storm to pass, Aaron discovers that the man is Spencer Reid, someone Jason Gideon had tried to recruit to the BAU. Aaron and Spencer keep in touch through emails and phone calls and occasionally meeting up when feelings start to grow. Neither mentions it to the other, thinking that it's only them, but a life threatening situation puts things into perspective.

Summary
Aaron Hotchner and Spencer Reid are renowned in their own rights and everyone at the BAU knows the basic facts about them. They're both unit leaders for their units within the BAU. They both were protégés to original founders of the BSU, Aaron was the protégé to Dave Rossi while Spencer was the protégé to Jason Gideon. They both lead their teams with efficiency and grace, and are widely respected throughout the unit. They have exceptionally high case closure rates. They also absolutely hate one another. Or, do they?

Summary
Aaron loved Spencer very much. There weren't any doubts about it. However, even him was not really sure what they were supposed to be doing in a secluded area of a national park.
When Spencer had mentioned he'd be conducting field research, the older man should have asked more questions.
