Note regarding rape/non-con: There are no graphic sex scenes in this fic, hence the "Mature" instead of "Explicit" rating. Pern has some pretty messed up standards, and I feel it is my responsibility to call it what it is. What many Gold and Greenriders experience in the books when their dragons mate is not sex: it's rape.
