Maybe as a modern day AU in which Ariel is paralyzed from the waist down, either due to an accident or a birth defect.
There doesn't need to be sex or anything specific. Just Ariel on a wheelchair.

She's beautiful, kooky and vulnerable and Grim is determined to look out for her, even when it seems that Eric has lost his mind over the mysterious Vanessa.So yeah, Grim worrying about Eric, hating on Vanessa (in his own polite gentlemanly fashion) and angsting over Ariel's future. Maybe he nurtures hopeless fantasies of marrying her himself if Eric goes ahead with his own spur of the moment wedding.
