This story begins three years after Alex and Henry's emails were leaked and their love was thrust into the global spotlight. Now, nearly four years into their relationship, they're still standing, and more certain of each other than ever.
It's Alex's final semester at NYU Law, and he's spending half his week in class and the other half interning in the West Wing. Meanwhile, Henry has spent the last few years quietly expanding his youth shelter initiative, building bridges between continents and futures. His time is split between Brooklyn and England, where the North American and European headquarters of his foundation now stand.
Though the world knows their story, some boundaries remain. Alex has his own apartment in Manhattan, and despite Henry's brownstone being just across the river in Brooklyn, there are nights they sleep apart. Plausible deniability, as the palace calls it. A necessary illusion to protect the image of the Crown, even if the cost is more distance than they'd like.
