“This is fucking stupid.” He says, aggravated.
“No it fucking ain’t you suicidal prick.” Chase snaps back at him. The older man is definitely angrier than he’d been a few hours ago, far more irritated compared to when he’d first shown up at Roberts crumbling apartment unannounced.
“Yes it fucking is!” He snaps right back. “I don’t need to be doing this.”
“Robert please, it’s not going to fucking kill you.” Chase amps up again, they’d been going back and forth for the last 2 and a half hours. Doing the same spiel for every piece of cloth Robert picked from the big, corporate bag of nesting shit sent to him by SDN.

Herman's eyes brim with tears, face flushed as he whimpers. The cheap plastic chair creaks under their combined weight. Herman's voice breaks on a strangled moan, the sound raw and utterly wrecked as it tears from his throat. Fresh tears streak down his already flushed cheeks, his breath hitching between desperate sobs.
