Summary
An ongoing series where two touch-starved men figure out how to take care of each other in ways that no military field guide ever covered. Thankfully, when you already trust a person with your life, letting them see you at your most vulnerable isn't nearly as hard as it sounds.
Non-sexual intimacy, physical touch, a little angst, and a lot of comfort.

Summary
Ghost doesn’t have anything against hybrids. He rarely ever thinks of ‘em in all honesty. They’re not allowed to enlist, and at a young age he chose to make the military his quasi-home.
He’s also not exactly out here championing for their equality either. Merely because Ghost isn’t in the business to know shit about anything that doesn’t pertain to himself these days.
Everything changes when he's walking home one night, and he finds an exhausted, sleeping hybrid curled against his front door.

He never gave it much thought. Stories are stories. He lives in the tangible world, where things may not always be what they seem, but looking closely always reveals the truth.
Soap still isn’t sure why it happened the way it did.

Summary
In those last split seconds before it ends, there is intimacy.
In that shuddering gasp between stability and unimaginable force, a glance shared with another man - all those conversations you wanted to have but didn’t, all that useless yearning directed at nothing - his hand instinctively presses to the front of your kit in a pale echo of wish, of a boy’s last cry for his mother. Or a pat for a job well done; an impotent display of brotherhood at the edge of reality.
