What if "Donnie's Gifts" was a little more... violent? What would have happened if Don's brothers were slower in their rescue and what if Meat Sweats didn't know how to stop? Donatello might not be the best at expressing himself but his gifts were never meant to hurt the brothers he holds so dear. All he wanted to do was show that he cared, show that he was part of the team, of the family, in whatever way he could. A little miscommunication, a little torture and whole lot of sensory overload results in the turtle brothers more than they would have ever thought about their purple-banded genius.

Summary
The Prison Dimension was a place that wasn’t too well understood, despite its age. Yet, in his month long stay, Leo gets to understand the ins and outs of the place, mainly because of what he’s put through there.
When he’s finally rescued and in his brothers’ arms, it becomes clear that there was still more he hadn’t realized about it, and the implications are haunting for all of them.

With a shuddering breath, Mikey pulled his sleeves away, revealing his shaking hands and the mystic scars. They were glowing a tiny bit, and they didn't look as bad. They were healing... finally.
The glow wasn't as bad, thankfully. But they shook. That was a given after a nightmare.
"Nightmares that got worse…" Doctor Feelings chided in worriedly. "You know they'll just keep getting worse if you don't talk with your brothers. You need a healthy way to process your feelings."
As he reached down, he could vaguely hear Doctor Delicate Touch yell at him, something about how this isn't a healthy coping mechanism, while Doctor Feelings gently reminded him he had three brothers he could rely on. He ignored both voices again, and pressed down a painful scar hard, hoping for the relief of physical pain over the emotional one.
It didn't hurt.
Mikey looked at his arm in surprise.

Instead of listening to his own advise and going to his brothers, Michelangelo decided that hurting the mystic scars as a reminder that everything is okay would be better instead.
