Maybe he’d fall this time, it didn’t really matter either way. He didn't even have the energy to scold himself for taking the easy way out. Hazy eyes in an impossibly heavy head watching dark rushing water, reflecting distorted and faded stars. No reaction came to his thoughts as the revving of an engine tore through his ears, screeching tires beside him. Nor when a voice shouted, pulling him from the ledge.

When Soundwave’s distinct monotone voice announces an absurdly high bounty for a certain Autobot medic listed as missing in action, Deadlock slams the emergency abort launch button. Despite his pain, he has to find Ratchet before anyone else.
