Summary
Shiro has been a Galra prisoner for over a year; with his flight feathers clipped and unable to fly. Desperate to escape, he jumps overboard while being transported to the capitol on a Galran ship. Lance is a merman who saves him from drowning. Keith thinks Shiro is about to become mermaid dinner. Hunk just wants Lance to stop going to the surface all the time, dammit!
(AU where Avians (winged folk), Galra, humans and merfolk cohabit earth. Shiro and Keith are avian soldiers, Lance is the youngest son of a Queen, Hunk is also a merman and Pidge is still looking for her family. They get caught up in a war.)

Nick laughs and shakes his head, the liquor still warm in his throat and causing the world around him to spin too fast. If it weren't for Gatsby's arms around his waist, he'd surely be laying in a heap on the ground.
"You don't need to buy me anything, Jay," he insists softly, feeling as if he's said such a thing too many times to count now.
"But I could. I could buy-"
Nick shakes his head again, turning around in Gatsby's arms and silencing him with a a lopsided smile and a sloppy kiss.
"You could, yes, but you don't have to. In fact...in fact you could sell this grand palace of yours, Jay, and....and lose all of your damned money in the stock market, and I'd still want you."
Gatsby doesn't respond, looking torn between disbelief and tears.

If he moves his head up a bit he can catch a glance of the survivors. They’re stuck inside, but the door won’t hold for long, it never does. And it would be fantastic if the zombies would just break down the door already and eat them so that Tommy could go on with his day, but he’s never been that lucky.
And nobody this incompetent has survived so long.
That’s why Tommy isn’t surprised when they open the door and come out blasting, armed and angry and clinging to life. The zombies never stood a chance, which would look totally cool and action movie-esque if Tommy wasn’t a zombie himself.

There’s something wrong about Philza Craft.
He’s Tommy’s homeroom teacher, has been for over three months now, and Tommy can not for the life of him shake off the terrible feeling of wrongness when he sees him.
He’s a good guy, great guy even. He’s strong and smart and kind and actually helps when someone asks him to, but there’s also something horribly off about him. Tommy sees it in the way his teeth look slightly too sharp sometimes, or how his eyes seem to glow a bit too bright, the pupil distorting to an inhuman shape. Tommy can even swear he’s found feathers way too large for a regular bird around the areas the man has been.
No one else seems to notice, though. So Tommy doesn’t say anything. He’s very skilled at minding his own business now, he’s learned to.

[ Set after S3 E11 "The Sorcerer's Shadow"]
The young boy from nowhere, Gilli, was caught using magic to win a tournament against the King of Camelot. When his life becomes forfeit under King Uther's laws on sorcery, this young magician will do anything to free himself.
Even if it means taking another sorcerer down with him.
Using his own magic to protect Prince Arthur against an attack from Gilli leaves them both in a difficult situation, one where Arthur will need to make the decision to adhere to Camelot's laws and see Merlin dead, or risk everything he has to save his once trustworthy servant.

The future dynamic duo is finally old enough to be part of a real superhero team like Young Justice, or the Titans, or maybe even the Justice League! Well... At least they thought they were since they planned to join one together, but the more they think about it, the less appealing it sounds. The two don’t want to be defined as the sons of someone super.
The only solution is to start their own superhero team! Fighting bad guys is no problem, but figuring out a public image, interpersonal issues, equipment maintenance, transportation, politics, financial control, and time management are an entirely different story. When did being a hero get so complicated?
